Street photography is a genre that captures candid moments in public places, often reflecting the raw and unfiltered essence of society. Its an art form that requires skill, creativity, and a keen eye for detail. Street photographs offer a window into the beauty and complexity of the world around us. Each photograph is a narrative in itself, capturing a moment in time that tells a larger story about the world we live in.

Follow a simple 3-step process:

  1. Plan & Observe – If possible, visit the location beforehand to get a feel for the streets, the light, and the flow of people. Understanding the environment helps anticipate interesting moments. Think about the kind of shots you want—close-ups, wide scenes, or people-oriented frames—and choose your lens accordingly. The right time of day also plays a huge role in setting the mood of your shots.

  2. Compose with Purpose – Framing is key in street photography. Look for leading lines, layers, and natural symmetry to create compelling compositions. When you feel you’ve found the perfect frame, that’s the moment to press the shutter. Be mindful of elements that add depth and emotion to your shot.

  3. Shoot with Confidence – Once you're in the scene, trust your instincts. Move around, change angles, and experiment with different perspectives. Capture moments that evoke curiosity or emotion. Street photography is about storytelling, so focus on details that add life to your images.

And most importantly—enjoy the process, stay patient, and let the streets surprise you!
